CAMP HILL – Residents of the 87th District in Cumberland County will have a chance to learn valuable techniques to protect their identities against theft at a seminar that will be hosted by State Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) at Schaner Senior Center from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 27.

“We want to provide people with tools to protect themselves against identity thieves,” Rothman said. “Identity theft can be expensive and time consuming for victims. This is an instance where knowledge and prevention can save people a lot of time, energy and trouble.”

Space for the event is limited and those who wish to attend should RSVP by calling Rothman’s district office at 717-975-2235 by Tuesday, April 25.

Attendees will learn identity theft prevention techniques from Ameer Blackmon, education and outreach specialist with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General; Daniel Sodus, senior assistant district attorney for Cumberland County; and Brad Duppstadt from PSECU’s loss prevention team.

“We have some great professionals with experience and advice they can offer to attendees,” Rothman said. “There’s no cost to attend the event and it could save people a lot of money if they protect themselves against identity thieves.”

Schaner Senior Center is located at 98 S. Enola Drive in Enola. The identity theft prevention seminar will take place on the ground floor.
